TCS REVOKES TERMINATION OF WOMAN EMPLOYEE
A week after a pregnant woman employee of TCS moved the High court and got an order terminating
her from service stayed,the IT major revoked the ouster order on Tuesday.
Now that Rekha will not cease to be a TCS employee Today,the court closed the case on tuesday.
Amid reports of en masse termination of employee by tcs , Rekha moved the high court describing her ouster as unfair.
Nothing that she was a workman as defined under the Industrial disputes act,1947 and that the company could not terminate her services without following mandatody procedures laid down in
the Act, she wanted her removal from job stayed.
She said she was issued a termination order on Dec 22,2014 and she was to be relived from duty
by january 21,2015.
On jan 13, justice R Subbiah granted an interim injuction restrainig TCS from giving effect to
the termination order for a period of four weeks.
